Brake Switch
Anybody use the generic version brake switch (old style) sold by British Parts of Utah? They were out of the L.R. (old style) version and I did not up for the upgraded switch/ wiring harness.
My switch had a moment last night and I was not far from home. I made it home and pulled it out. Appearance wise the plunger feels ok but the internals are probably worn out. It's been 'guessing' over 10-15k miles since the last one.
The stock wiring harness was taped into another strand of various wires. I did not feel like tracing it to see where it ended hence ordering the 'old version'. I got the email that BPOU was out of that version and that they had the OEM switch that was in generic boxing. I guess the biggest question that I have was did I make a mistake on longevity? Should I have paid for the upgraded switch/harness?
