On Sunday I experienced the stuck in park situation. Took the shifter cover off and have been manually moving the shifter pin to change gears. Brake lights are also out. Read a few threads around this issue, but am still not clear on cause of issue. Does this sound like a broken brake light switch, the 'asthma inhaler' look-alike by the brake pedal?

The old style looks like an inhaler. The new style does not.


I bought this one at my local AutoZone. The Land Rover logo was molded into it even though it was in a Duralast box.
