Default Braking and Cruise Control

Bare with me here.

I have been experiencing breaking problems and can't figure out the underlying issue. Sometimes the Pedal feels like it doesn't have that "bite" and sometimes it bites normally. But, for most of the time though it takes effort to bring the truck to an immediate stop.

On another note, I am having issues with my cruise control. The cruise locks on, but will slowing start to decelerate. Further, with the cruise locked on, if I press the Accelerate button it pulls forward very slowly.

Any chance these two nuisances are related to a vacuum issue? Or related to the same vacuum issue? Thoughts on what or where to inspect?

well you have vacuum lines, pedal switching, and pump.
sure it sounds like vacuum for the cruise, but I would not think the braking would be result of cruise,at all. possible the vice verse.
for cruise chase those hoses to pump, replace the crack heads. for brakes, good luck...let us know what you find.....and don't tailgate

I assume if I had a "central" vacuum issue I would experience an irregular idle or rough running engine?

I'm not to concerned with the cruise control, but I'll spend a little time (if I can ever find it) inspecting the booster and master cyl. With 180 on the clock I'm sure the master is a little tired and worn.

The cruise does not run off of engine vacuum, the brakes do.
