Broke Secondary Air Pump Hose
I broke the secondary air pump hose while flushing heater core this morning. It certainly was not flexible - it had turned to brittle plastic. Anyways, is the car drivable without this hose, and are there any more cost effective ways of replacing it? Atlantic British wants $105 for one. Thanks in advance.

As long as the end which connects to the pump is in good shape you can actually repair the pipe for 6.00. Go go any auto store and get the 6ft pack of 3/4 heater hose. Chop off the SAI hose 3-4inches past the special connector at the SAI pump, then slip the 3/4 heater hose over the end piece of the SAI tube (might have to lube the hose a bit for it to slide on easy). Then secure with a hose clamp. Then just make it long enough to reach the metal SAI pipe.
I’ve done this on several SAI D2’s which the owner didn’t have the 100.00 for a new replacement. Lasted at least 2-3 years.
