Broken coolant hose, can't find part#
2004 D2 with 4.6 V8.
It sprung a leak from a short hose deep down in the bay, and I can't find partnumber for it so I could get a new one.
I did look at parts.jlr.com and from the rave I have, but nothing like it is in those.
Deep down, arrow points it

Closer view

It's not long, something around ~10cm / 4", and it's completely straight.
If nothing else, I'll just take it off next weekend and go get some generic coolant hose in same size...

As more pressing issue, need to get the MOT done and D2 on the road.
this is the generic hose you can buy, and cut off the length you need....

OEM wise = that is sold as 1 complete unit. Plastic Y, short hose, hose to reservoir, hose to water pump, and hose to heater core. However yes you can simply match up the hose diameter and cut to fit.
I finally realized why the hose pictured in this thread doesn't look familiar. My truck still has the original, molded hose, which doesn't have the short section nor the plastic Y fitting. Still going strong! I suppose my truck is living on borrowed time.
The original molded hose thingamajigger has been replaced with something other made from a "thousands" bits.
Great info! Thanks!

Hopefully have time today to remove it and tomorrow source same size replacement.
If I looked correctly at the gates hose specs it's a 38mm / 1.5" innner diameter.
But.. that gates partnumber. oh my... it.. it.. it.. is a ... *sigh* Jeep part... Oh my..

EDIT:
Will order a new thermostat also as I need to drain the system, so why not.
No idea of the age etc of the current one.

watch out for correct antifreeze. See what was in there. If you mix and match certain brands/colors/chemical formulas, crystals can form. I flushed my system with distilled H20, and replaced 'alloy safe' Zerex 50/50 green. I think it's approved by Mercedes and BMW....so good enough for my rover.....
