So, a few weeks ago I bought a discovery II brush guard for my new discovery II. I'm new to the whole land rover thing and didn't do my research and just went for what I thought looked cool. The brush guard is a land rover brush guard for the pre-2003 discovery II. I have a 2004 with the newer headlights/bumper/fog lights. The brush guard didn't come with any instructions or hardware, and the manual doesn't help much either. Does anyone know if this brush guard is compatible with my truck. If it is, what kind of hardware do I need to attach it? If it isn't, is there a modification that anyone knows about? Thanks a lot. Any info would help.

My guess is that the bumpers being different is the issue. Why not put it up against it and see if/how it fits?

 

Unfortunately it wont match up with your LR. I almost made a similar mistake but another member told me before I bought it...

This is not accurate information, because it WILL MATCH UP. I installed a brush guard exactly like the one you have pictured, which is for earlier Discovery years, on my 2004, and it fit, matched precisely. The same exact type mounts for earlier and for later style bush guards, fit right up, mount in same fashion, without a problem.

 

It will match up and fit perfectly, without a problem, and anyone telling you it won't, are simply wrong. I sent PM details.
