THAT is why it's good to join a forum. :P

The wrap around version is the one I was looking for, I like the aesthetics and also it looks like it would function pretty well against all those telephone poles, errr, trees.

If your on a budget for some ATs (like most of us), I just ordered 5 Toyo Open Country AT's from here,

TOYO Open Country AT P255 70R16 109S OWL @ TiresDirect.Net

Paid 726.33 shipped to my door for 5 of them.

Here are the GG AT2s,

GENERAL Grabber AT2 255 70R16 111S OWL @ TiresDirect.Net

They arrived today (shipped to NC from IL in less than a week!) and I plan on mounting them on Saturday if the shop can fit me in. I will post pics. This is all I have right now...
That. Is. Awesome. I assumed good tires for the LR would run $140+ p/t without question, this is relieving news.

Also don't be afraid to check Retread Tires - Buy Retread Tires, Cheap Truck Tires, Off Road Tires, and Retreads Online, you can get some serious good deals.

Oh wow, those are some great deals, have you used them by chance? Would they be relatively comparable as far as distance ratings?

Never personally used them, but I know a group of pretty serious "overlanders" that use them and swear by them...

I was just star struck by the Duratracs so I went with those

Couple friends of mine have the Guard Dog style from them and they perform great. No problems with airing down on them and no issues with balancing at all.

I use BFG AT/KO, I think they're 265.85/16, I will have to look when I go back out, they're a little bigger than stock.

Default Treadwright retreads!

I'm leaning closer and closer to using treadwrights on mine. One for the environmental aspect of them, and two because they offer a warranty with them (24k isn't much but hey I've only put 6k on my Disco in the past year), and the technology has come a long way. If anyone is using these for road tires and not just trail running please chime in and give us some feed back!
