I have an ARB on my D II, it is my third one on various vehicles. It is as good of a bumper as you will find. On my diesel trucks I have ranch hand bumpers. My issue with a heavier bumper is my ability to drive away from a deer strike at highway speed. Will the bumper protect me, my radiator and or my intercooler in that type of impact.
The ARB is not pretty but functional, other types like it will serve you well also.

 

why do you keep running into deer? sounds like you need better brakes
