Default Burnt Out / Weak Rear Wiper Motor?

So my rear windshield wiper is barely working. It actually stopped working but I went back there and loosened up the bolts on the arm and sprayed some lithium greese and that freed it up a bit so it will run when the window is slippery when wet but it will get stuck on a dry window. So I figure my motor is just on its last leg and it needs to be replaced? Or can I get to the motor and lubricate it somehow (this is pretty low on the list but figure if there is a fix I will do it)?

Regardless how does one get to the rear wiper motor?

year?

On a D1, just remove the sub (if equipped), remove the handle, and start popping the trim off the back door. You may want to pull the spare tire so you can get to the base of the wiper arm from the outside as well.

When you remove the trim panel from the door, get the tool trim panel tool from the local parts store. You panel is made from a fiber board and it will crack if you are not careful removing it. Also, you will more than likely break most of the fasteners when you remove the panel. I took mine off 2 weeks ago and 10 of the 18 fasteners broke. They are brittle due to age.
