Default Weak AC/Heater Blower Motor?

Hi all,

Been a long time since I posted, but I've got an issue on my 2003 DII. I'm not sure what component I need to be looking at, but maybe it's the blower motor. The volume of air coming out of the vents is much less than it was in the past. Even when you crank the fan to high, it is mediocre at best. I just need some pointers on where to start diagnosing this issue.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

you might check to make sure nothing is in the blower:

I found it because I had already commented on it... so I knew it was there somewhere.

I don't expect your blower to look like that... that is a nest from something... but you get the idea.

Having the same issue in my '01...seems like the volume is much less. Pulled the motor and but for a few leaves was clear. I am wondering if the relay switch may be the culprit. I am thinking of swapping out the motor for a new one to see if that is the issue. I'll come back with the verdict ASAP, and please let me know if you come to a resolution, as I am in S. FLA and its getting hot in herre! HAHA!

Okay- swapped out the motor and seems to be blowing a "little" bit better, but noticed as i was poking around that i have a decent amount of air coming up from the windscreen/defrost area while the setting is solely on face (dash) setting. I assume that there is a flap motor that is stuck or something. Is there anyway to push this thing closed fully w/o tearing the dashboard apart?
THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP!!!
