Default buy a 99 or 01 Dicsovery w/ 70,000 miles.?

I am looking at a 99 w/ 70k for $6,000 or an 02 w/ 70K for $7500? Primary use will be sons drive to and from college....Does one have less bugs than the other? Thoughts?

Both are great prices, do either of them have their service records? The 99 has a much better traction system because it had the t/case fro an older D1 so the t/case can be locked giving the truck at least 50% more traction off road.
Other wise, both trucks are so similiar in their feature there is just no difference.

I just purchasedthe 01 with all (many) service records, last change was the o2 senson changed by the local rover dealer. I just noticed the overflow tank has boiling fluid...Is that normal?

Thanks

Do not drive the truck, call the selling dealer or a mechanic and have it checked ASAP, this can be a major problem.

No reply back so I will go one step further, the only 2 things that will cause the coolant to look like it is boiling would be a blown head gasket or a dropped cylinder sleve. You need to address this tomorrow whith who ever you bought it from.
