No they are not stainless from the factory. Cost factor is probably a large reason.

I assumed that, if my exhaust rots ill swap it for stainless. it only needs to pass safety once haha

Thanks for the heads up, ill probably be buying it within the next few months for a winter project. Starting to get the feeling ill be best off with an 00-01 and see if its any kind of reliable haha

thats a nice rig, there seem to be lots of 03-04 on kijiji in my area, maybe theres a reason for that. one really nice 03 that comes with a T case from a 00 and a 4.0 engine spare in case the 4.6 goes, but i still might be better off getting a 99-01. definitely going to need the CDL.

The dealer I work at we just appraised a 02 with 100k it has engine codes but no abs codes, going to give them close to nothing for it if anyone is local to Pittsburgh
