are the exhausts not stainless steel on these rigs? and why not just replace it with a better sounding stainless steel option rather than paint? just curious

sounds like most of you guys are in agreement that the 4.0 is more reliable, sounds like id be best off with an 00 or 01 then add the CDL linkage or just crawl underneath with a wrench for 4x4. lots of 02s for sale in my area but as far as i know they dont have the CDL

Thanks for the heads up, ill probably be buying it within the next few months for a winter project. Starting to get the feeling ill be best off with an 00-01 and see if its any kind of reliable haha

I have 4, cannot feel the difference in power between 4.6 and 4.0, but I can vouch that the 03+ are the only ones I have ever had with slipped cylinder liners.
