Got mine from BP Utah ($65) Temps on highway are 183-187, around town 194-197. Much better than the 200-208 I had with the original t-stat.

I don't understand how you guys have these high temps.

My engine runs at 180-195 depending on highway/city driving with the stock 190 degree stat. (This is confirmed via my bluetooth OBD2 through the stock thermostat on my torque app and my glowshift temp gauge on my A pillar)

I think if the system is bled correctly with no leaks, there shouldn't be any issues. And this is weather from sunny San Diego, to blistering Arizona and the snow in the Rockies and Lake Tahoe.

Those temps seem a little high to me also. Both our D2's have the stock 190 thermostat in them and we barely get over 200. Only see 204-206 in warm weather while idling. While driving, it is always below 200. We're on Oklahoma with heat and humidity.

I got the Moto Bad here also, running 185-190 most of the time. I still hit 200 sometimes though in city traffic here in vegas, which is understandable. I'm sure it would go down a degree or two running the genuine juan though.

I finally installed my genuine 180º stat this weekend and WOW - crazy drops in temp. This is fantastic.

Before, stock 190º stat
stop & go, in city traffic: 204-212º
highway: 198º
highest ever stuck in traffic: 215º

After, 180º stat
stop & go, in city traffic: 189-196º
highway: 186º
highest ever stuck in traffic: 203º

I'm crazy happy with these new temps!

High temps? I had the stock t-stat when I did the head gasket and my temps were 189-198 (depending on traffic & weather) but a t-stat doesn't last forever and the temps were slowly getting warmer. (It's been almost 4 years... don't know how long they last.) When I did the water pump a couple months ago, I noticed the temps were still up there so I bought the 180 t-stat. Now it's back to "normal." Since I bought mine with a cooked engine and warped heads, I'd like to keep the stress off them.
