side note. been reading up on replacing/rebuilding the front drive shaft. estimated time to complete this job?

 

Have someone else do it, to spend $300 is worth not doing it, unless your a mechanic yourself. $7000 is an outrageous price for a 2001 D2 with 113k on it, no matter what they did to it as others said.

 

I did mine in about 2 hours - that excludes the time it took to go buy a slide hammer. It's not so bad as people make it out to be. With the right tools it is a simple job.
