I´m writting from Portugal, and i am looking for a Discovery TD5 (1999). My question is: What should be my main concern, when looking at one? Do they have "critical" problems? The last one i saw, had 160.000Km... is it too much for it?
Any help would be very welcome...

The biggest issue on a rover is the maintainence. It must be done. it must be documented. no papers no buy. have it checked out by a professional before you buy it. rovers are not cheap to fix. look throught the faq section for some of the more frequent problem. If it has been taken care of. like any vehicle, it will more than likely be ok. I have a 96 disco. 4.0. I keep it right. 130k miles on it. that is close to the km on yours. never had major problems, never been left on the road side. hope it helps. gotta love a rover. duboff.
