Buying 2004 D II
That isn't that bad. Wire brush and rust reform product. Rear section may need replaced in a few years. That frame will easily go 10 more years if cared for and patched down the road. No holes or split welds yet. Granted it is more than surface rust, but it isn't terrible.
Thanks for every replies, since I've got so many good responses I tough I would share a list of every problems I found on the vehicle and maybe it might help us make a good decision, for my part if I can take at least 2000$ off the original price I might consider buying it, but since it is at a used car dealership I doubt I can negotiate that much

This looks like a project truck, $2k max and some people would not even pay that.

First post here, saw a great land rover discovery II 2004 in my region, perfect interior and exterior and low mileage the dealer is asking for 7000$ CAD, don’t mind paying the price but not sure if it is justified. My main concern is the frame, it is pretty rusty but doesn’t have any holes in it, I have a rough video of the rear which gives a good idea of the overall condition, any thoughts?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Yes I was just looking at this one! Not much info but might be worth a look thanks! I also had this one in mind but I've heard bad things about the 2003 which do you think is better (2002 vs 2003)?

you’ll have to swap the entire tcase or the full nose cone plus add the shifter for an 02. 99-mid01 had the locker but not the shifter.
Out of those two, the 02 looks like a better buy just off the info provided.
