Hello there! Can anyone help me please? I am seriously thinking about buying a SH Disco 3 (GS Model) manual diesel. 07 or 57 plate circa 30k miles. I will be towing caravan occasionally. I have heard so many bad reports on the disco 3, but good ones too. I am scared after the 1 year dealer warranty that my Disco will breakdown and cost me a fortune. Paying over £23k for vehicle is a massive purchase. What is the reliability, fuel consumption, and warranty backup like on these vehicles? Im so nervous but excited too! Can I buy a good extended warranty thats worth the paper its written on? If so may even think of buying private rather than dealer. Is this a safe option? Thank you in hope of replies. (ps Im test driving one tomorrow). Is it an either "love it or hate it" vehicle - depending on its reliability and the dealer?

 

post in the LR3 section. We only have series 1&2 in here. Mostly a North American board, and they are badged LR3's here...
