Buying the right window switch
Hey everyone, I just joined the forum so this is my first post. I have a 2000 Disco II that I bought a couple weeks back to fix up (my first project car
). I am looking to replace my window switch that goes in the driver's side rear door because mine doesn't work even after cleaning the tabs inside. I'm finding switches ranging from $10-$60 online, and I just want to know if there is a difference between the switches that go in the doors, and the switches that go in the center console. Can I just buy any cheap one for $10 or do I need an OEM switch meant for that door? Thanks in advance.
