Bypass Oil filtration

Bypass Oil filtration
Found countless threads regarding the kind and viscosity of oils but nothing about running a bypass filtration system on a Disco 2.
Is anyone running one?
We are really considering one, not with the intention of extending the draining intervals but to raise the quality of the filtering.
Will be great to know if anyone is doing it and perhaps share some pics and experience on their level of satisfaction
Thanks in advance for the time

I don't personally know of anyone who has. I think it would take some time to recoup the cost over just using better larger filters and changing the oil more often, especially as cheap as Rotella is. The best filter I've used that has kept the oil clean longest is the Mobil 1 M1-301, and I've tried quite a few different filters.

For a variation of the theme and much simpler to accomplish you might want to read over this thread:

Recently changed mine over to the Mann W9504 purchased from RockAuto. Prior to install filter pre-fill took nearly a quart. After change and top-off after running total oil capacity was a bit over 7 qts. I have no concerns over the higher by-pass rating of the filter where I reside.

I run the Amsoil dual-bypass oil filter system on my 07 Silverado Duramax, and have run Schaeffers full synthetic oil since new. It has 240000 miles and change the filters at 20000 and oil at 40000. Initial investment was 350.00 and around 50.00 for filters. I have contemplated running one on the Disco, but saw no advantage, since I will not run synthetic in it. The only real advantage I see is the extra capacity, but the filter being talked about sounds like a much cheaper alternative.
