I’ve seen a few post about upgrading the blower motor to a Pontiac Grand Prix motor. Is this still the consensus winner? Is there a better one? Mine OEM blower works as it should but I like more air movement than it produces.

 

Its a little better. Seems to depend on the motor you have now. I have measured everything from 2200 rpm to 2800 rpm on Disco fans, Pontiac runs about 2900-3100.

 

You might have reduced air flow due to the foam seals surrounding the directional flaps deteriorating... Huge PITA to fix. Not sure if shoving more air into a leaky system would be any better. Let us know.
