Default A/C blower stopped working, Resistor or Motor?

I know they are both parts that need to be replaced eventually, but I really don't want to do them both right now. Also I've seen the Four Seasons blower motor pretty cheap, but it's a different plug, which is annoying.

Were you able to confirm its dead? Did you try connecting directly to battery? Most likely, connection is loose.

That's what I thought, I've been wiggling that connection for weeks and now it's not coming back on when I wiggle it. I guess taking it out and putting it straight to the battery is my next troubleshooting test.

Do you mean the connection or the whole wire? I'm asking how screwed I am.

No, its just the connector underneath the passenger side footwell. Its the thickest wire that gets really hot when connection is loose. Youll work it out. Good luck.

That makes complete sense. Thanks, I'll pull it out and play with it this weekend.

You should check the wiring diagrams. It could be that no power is coming from the interior fuse box.

I am chasing after a similar issue. Did you find out anything new about your issue?

i replaced the motor (message Abran and see if he has a used one), and in the process found that a short had happened at the connector and melted it! Was having a hard time getting the motor out and noticed the plastic was a bit melted. So I cut it off and wired in the new connector Abran sent with the motor.

Melted connector next to new connector!
