Default A/C Fan Speed

Hey there friends,

I believe I am having an issue with my truck's A/C. When I turn the ac on, the fan speed doesn't seem as powerful or high as it used to be. I still have dicsernable fan speed settings low to high, but it definitley seems "slower" than it used to. Could this be a resistor issue? or possibly an issue with the face/foot/windscreen flaps inside the dash? Any help is much appreciated as here in Tampa...Summer has arrived!! UGH!

Also, on a side note- I just recently switched from dino oil to Rotella T6 synthetic and cannnot believe the difference in how quiet and smoother the engine runs! Thanks for all the advice!!!

Regards,
Russ

Do you hear anything (such as pinestraw) that could be stuck in the fan housing itself and restricting the speed?

Tampa, eh? Those are my old stomping grounds. Went to Plant as a matter of fact. Oh yeah, GO LIGHTNING!!!

Nothing in there- just emptied it out from all the oak leaves this spring...seems to be a ritual! HAHA! Live just a few streets from Plant High...The area is just amazing- and yes...GO LIGHTNING! (Love the Auburn area, btw...my wife is an alum)

Interesting. Maybe the fan itself is okay but theres a baffle door or something that's not opening? That's all I can think of. Have you ever run it through a carwash with the ac on? I did that once and water started pouring in the passenger footwell! I make sure it's on recirculate now and it hasn't happened since.

I can't complain about Auburn. Having lived in Tampa so long it was a bit if an adjustment but it's a great place to live. I'm about finished with grad school and I'm looking to move back down. If you ever see a red disco II with auburn stickers on the back give me a shout! Hopefully the disco lasts that long!
