Default A/C questions

So I am putting off replacing my 02 sensors as I've been on disability for the past few months and physical therapy sucks.. I figured I would see if my air con worked. Picked up one of those cheap *** bottles from autozone, the damn thing just sucked it right up. Air Connie nice and cold, sitting here idling for the past 30 minutes Temps don't go over 208 (genuine 180 state in there). Then they fall to 188. I cannot get the Aux fan to come on. Suggestions?

with ac on the aux fan should be too. 212 is the trigger with ac off.
motor may be seized or just out. can you spin it with a screw driver? have you checked the fuse?

I hate to challenge the knowledge of Dusty1, AKA "Bubbles", but...

On my D1 the AUX fan comes on with the AC, on my D2 it does not.

Thanks guys. Everything I have read suggests Bubbles is correct.

Fuse is fine. Never thought to stick a screw drive and check if it spins. Locked up tight it is. Thanks guys.

Should I avoid driving it if it gets really hot out?

Btw.. Ultra guage show 209 as its highest temp. Won't go any further. It get to 209.8, hang out there, then go all the way back down to 188.6. Been doing that for an about an hour or so.

i'm usually wrong, but my rave thing says 212

On When vehicle speed is 50 mph (80 km/h) or less and ambient
temperature is 28 °C (82 °F) or more
Off When vehicle speed increases to (62.5 mph (100 km/h) or
ambient temperature decreases to 25 °C (77 °F)
For engine cooling during normal running:
On 100 °C (212 °F)
Off 94.5 °C (202 °F)
For engine cooling at ignition off (to counteract heat
soak):
On If, within 10 seconds of ignition off, intake air temperature is 60 °C
(140 °F) or more and engine coolant temperature is 110 °C (230
°F) or more
Off After 10 minutes or if engine coolant temperature decreases to
100 °C (212 °F) (up yours Abe )

fine to drive, but I wouldn't plan to use the ac unless you are cruising at highway speeds.......the lack of cooling in the condenser raises head pressure and will cycle you in and out, at idle and could cause more problems....but you should be good with ac off

I just checked both our 04s, started them, turn the AC on full, and no fan. Unless both my fans are broken...

run 12 volts directly to the fan and see if it spins
