Default Calling all XYZ Masters!

I have pulled, opened, cleaned what was pretty much already clean, sealed and reinstalled the XYZ switch. It was said that there was another switch above but I didnt find it. I am still getting P0705 and P1612 and the truck still will not start, will not show what gear its in or release the key. I have put in a new battery, made attempts to adjust by loosening the mounting bolts of XYZ and moving it then checking for lcd display as well as loosening the cable and moving checking for lcd. Looking at some of the pics and stories mine is nowhere near grimey inside at all. I would hate to spend that money and not solve the problem so before buying a new one I am begging for any test I might try. I dont have a GOOD scanner at my disposal and they are as expensive as the part. Can I use a multimeter to make sure its getting power somehow? Are there other components that recieve the gearing data first that need to be checked? Should this be keeping the engine from starting. Only makes a small click when turning the key. If key is left on you can hear a small fan or processor or something under the steering wheel. I have checked fuses and all look good.

(deep breath)

why do you think its the XYZ? did you sink your truck? are the M&S lights flashing? are you getting spark? did you check the ground on the block? are you getting the letters to show on the display if you shift slowly between gears or nothing at all ever when moving the shifter? the xyz is sorted out then did you check the transmission solenloid wiring loom to make sure no wires were damaged?

Codes P0705 and P1612 with no start, no gear indication at all even when maneuvering the shifter and no key release. I have tried different adjustments of XYZ to no avail which makes me think the problem lies deeper. The truck did get stuck in water which is where my problems began. I am now getting codes P0743, P0753 and P0758. I just cleared the codes and now all come back with the acception of P1612. I also checked the plug next to the XYZ and it did look a little dirty.

I did get water in the cab. I replaced the TCU but not the BCU or ECU because they did not get wet though in the after math gauging from the condensation... I did examine their plugs and no water.

Was the battery connected when you recovered the truck? Could have fried the ecu and bcu if they got wet, how high did the water get on the driver side?

The battery was connected. The engine ran for about an hour and a half while it was stuck. Driver side filled up several inches, no more than 4 or 5. After I got it out is when I got the m&s lights and the SES light. I stopped and the gearing started a high low trip(not sure) and wouldnt go into gear then did go into gear and I drove about 30 miles home with out any noticeable issues. Next day I was forced to drive into town and it did fine till the evening when it went into limp mode. Got it home and now no start and all these other things. I know standing water didnt reach the ECU and I am sure it didnt reach the BCU. The plugs near the floor did get wet. Could that have caused a short. Is there a test? Any resets?

Its the stuck key that has me worried. But you still have the truck getting power so that is even stranger. What did the tranny and tc fluid look like? not that the dirty fluid would cause error codes like you had but it might cause the skip you felt. where did you source the transmission computer from? Do you still have the old 1? You should be able to clean the old 1 with some electronic cleaner spray and some light touching of paper towels and Q tips. I would try and reinstall the old 1 after its been cleaned. I might even check the fuse box under the kick panel on the driver side along with the computer behind it. The strange thing is you're having multiple issues the don't point to 1 single problem so you need to keep hunting. There's no way to just reset the system.
