Hello I have a 2000 discovery, and i am checking out the engine bay and there is a broken hose coming out of this device i am not sure what it is and where it goes. It is on the RH side, coming out of a cylinder with the what seems like a white blow off valve of somesort just below the Cruise control i believe.

 

disregard i figured it out, it's a cruise control vacuum pump looks like my disco does not have cruise control..

 

If the pump works, then replacing the hose to regain cruise control is only a minor process. Replace all three lengths of tubing, including the "T" joint for good measure.

Atlantic British sells a kit which includes a suitable length of tubing and a "T" joint here.

It's for Disco 1s though, and I'm not sure if the tube size or lengths are the same. You might want to give Atlantic British a call (1.800.533.2210) and ask if the kit will work on a Disco 2.

 

i am just going to leave it, looking to sell the truck now.

yeap i did, my wife does not like it..and it is very difficult to get in an out of the rear doors. i am not in a rush to sell it but waiting for the right deal.
