Can I save this Discovery II or send it to junk yard ?
If the crank snout isn't mangled, you should be able to get the broken piece of the key out with a punch and hammer, and clean it up with emory cloth.
A new or used balancer pulley, and it should be ok.
The bolt needs 200' lbs.
Lots of people think they can just get it tight and it's ok.
Some get lucky...others have your problem, or worse damage. A drop of medium thread locker is a good idea too.

should I reuse the old harmonic damper bolt or get a new one? I sandblasted the old bolt and plan to use the blue loctite, but I read somewhere you should just get a new bolt, I have not seen any new ones for sale on Atlantic british
call rovers north, or dealership. The dealerships are good for bits and bobs. For service no way in Toledo would I go to a dealership.
Here are the part numbers for the crankshaft bolt and spacer

Hell YES to the loctite, and please use a torque wrench.
At this price you would be crazy not to > https://www.tekton.com/1-2-inch-driv...e-wrench-24340
Ok so after removing the crossmember under the oil pan with a sawzall the windshield cracked horizontally across the whole windshield, heated crank sprocket with torch and it came off, but now the woodruff key won't come out, any ideas how to get it out without ruining the crank? I already tried hammer and punch, heating with torch, and prying with a crow bar

The woodruff key is hardened, so it will be a b*tch to drill. But, drilling it will take some of the pressure off of the sides of the groove.
Penatrating oil, let it soak, more heat, repeat.
It Will come out.
I would drill a hole deep enough to give the end of a punch a good bite too.
If you can drill it deeper, go ahead.
In the unlikely event you drill through the key, and into the crank, it won't hurt it, as the crank is hardened too, and a drill bit impression or slight hole in the groove bottom won't cause any problems.
Just make sure the bit diameter is less than the key's width.
Center punch the key before you drill too, to keep the bit from walking.
Oil the bit as you go, it's going to get hot, which will burn it up.
A standard bit will also do very little, try carbide.

After O.j. ran away from this Discovery laughing and telling me good luck, I finally got it all put back together. I even drove it 20 miles without having to call AAA for a tow. Now it is throwing the following codes p0141 p0161 p0140 p0160 p0159 and p0139. I removed 02 sensors and hooked them up to a volt meter while heating them with a torch and they are all dead. Could this be causing the 6 codes or is this Discovery possessed by 6 demons. Should I try to replace the 02 sensors or send it to Carmax and try to recoup some of my money?
