What do you mean, drive at idle? Remember I have a 5 speed manual too...

I mean put it in gear and let the truck move with the engine at idle. Keep your foot off the gas.
So put it in first, let the clutch out and keep your foot off the gas.

ok, I'll try tomorrow. What will happen if the truck drives in low? It was driving fine when I was going around the block in low. Thanks for the help Spike!

The only thing that will happen if you drive in low is that you will have high engine RPM and you will not beable to go over 40 MPH.

Just don't have it in locked high or low on any hard surface.
I have never needed low unlock just high unlock for everyday driving.
