Default Can't find coolant test kit for reservoir

Both O'Reilly and Auto Zone kits were for radiators. Did not look like it fits on reservoir. What are you guys using as far as rentals? Advance auto is a ways away. Thanks

Are you talking about a pressure test kit? It doesn't matter whether or not they think their kit is made to fit on the coolant reservoir. The only thing that matters whether or not it actually fits. Remember, with all due respect the people at the chain stores don't speak Rover. Don't ask, just get the kits and see whether or not anything fits correctly on your coolant reservoir.

To pressure test or for combustion gas test? Some folks purchase a pressure tester from HF or purchase pricey adapter to use with kits without the correct one. If testing cap not required some modify a cap with a fitting to allow using a pump. Wait for AA tester to come back?

I physically looked in each and all they had was a heavy duty metal radiator cap on the pump. No reservoir type caps.

This was it: https://www.google.com/search?q=radi...S2NdYO6EZ8M%3A

I needed this: https://www.google.com/search?q=rese...tnLpVvpVQ7M%3A

Hmmm. Coolant from bottom of hose at T fitting. I've seen fluid around there. Might be the culprit and trickled down. [IMG]

Whats with that hose, two screw clamps and one band clamp? Is that a stock hose recycled?

If I recall correctly, around 2012 when I first met my wife, I ordered the upper hose assembly from one of the British parts places. Should have been the T fitting and all upper hoses. Not sure about the clamps. Just replaced the band clamp on the right with a worm drive clamp.

I have a feeling before summer I may swap ALL the hoses to be safe.

Still leaking. Driveway had incline. Pulled into garage and it dripped again when level. Going to inspect water pump pully area tomorrow.
