Default Can't get the alternator out

So I've taken out the two long bolts for the alternator but still can't get it to budge. 1998 discovery. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here, so I know theres someone out there that's changed there alt, just looking for a little guidance. Thanks

I don't know for sure since I have a DII and it's not in front of me, but you probably need to get a long pry-bar and pry it out of there. Those bolts had it clamped it in there pretty good. Getting it back in and lining up the holes will be even more fun. A big rubber mallet and light taps may help with that.

wiggle it.......not sure what to tell you if the two bolts are out. i'm sure you got the right bolts but, confirm they are alternator bolts and not a bolt to that bracket that holds it to the block. it could just be a little tight.

Mine popped right out when I did mine, old one out and new one in under 30 min.
Tap it with a block of wood or rubber mallet and spray penatrent/lube anywhere it touchs something else.

Yep thats exactly what I need to do, just put some leverage on it with a screwdriver. It was tight in there, first one I've taken out so I thought the ring on the end was not connected to the alternator and had to go through it. Anyways out and good. thank you
