Default Can't get radiator out

Took off fan, cowling.
Have clear access to radiator.

Took off two hex bolts on the front of the radiator.

Can't find what other bolts are holding it on.
Seems to be really connected heavily to the cooler in front.

Looked in RAVE - can't find radiator section!

if its an 03-04 disco two then you can pull off the front grill and remove the number three philips screws holding the coolers on. don't take the lines off the cooler. If its below that with the old style grill with the glass lights then you need to pull the battery, the battery box and the air box and use a number three philips bit with a small wratching wrench to make it quicker and easier.

Mike,
Page 431 in Rave..
Oh man.
This is A LOT WORSE than a D1.

Will be a few hours for me.
And, I have it apart at work parking lot.
Had too much confidence.

Remove 2 bolts securing radiator LH and RH
upper mounting brackets to body panel and
remove brackets.
11. Remove 4 screws securing air conditioning
condenser LH and RH upper mounting
brackets to condenser.
12. Remove brackets with rubber mounts from
radiator extension brackets.
8. Remove 6 scrivets and remove LH and RH air
deflectors from front panel. Disconnect
multiplug of gearbox oil temperature sensor
(arrowed).
9. Remove nut and move horn aside.
13. Position absorbent cloth under each cooler
hose to collect oil spillage.
14. Push against coupling release rings and
disconnect hoses from gearbox oil cooler.
CAUTION: Always fit plugs to open
connections to prevent contamination.
15. If fitted: Push against coupling release rings
and disconnect hoses from engine oil cooler.

Mike,
I could never have gotten your good advice from the RAVE.
Thanks much again.
Guess I will drive it home late at night all apart.
Fluids are still in it.

And work on it at the apt.
Looks to be a weekend struggle now.

Man, the D1 Radiator is easier in a way.
I thought "oh, less hoses, this will be easier".

No, harder.

Spent two more hours.
Took the grille off.
Still can't get the radiator out.
Can't decouple it from the cooler in front of it.

I have a lot of respect now for those who have replaced the radiator.

I drove the Rover with no fan and no cowl and with the air conditioning on.
Still was at 210 and no higher with out a fan!

take out the horns... pull the foam from behind it. there is an aluminum fastener behind the foam, you also need to pull the 2 fasteners on each mount. the other coolers are clipped in on one side and have a large screw on the other.

joe,
Thanks much!
Lost.
Did head gaskets - but radiator????
Oh man.
Scary.

Does the radiator pull out with the trans cooler still attached?

I have the grill off.
One horn off.
behind the horn foam is just a little hole.
Is that for a screw driver?
And those other clips?
Accessible from the grill opening??

Other guys say pull out the air box and the battery and battery box.
What do you think?
