Default Can't read 3 amigos codes

So I am having a frustrating issue with my disco. When I bought it the lights were not on but came on about every other time I drove it. I was able to read the codes initially with our euro version Launch but the lights came back and I haven't been able to check them since. It says no codes. A while ago I believe I pulled the ABS fuse while the vehicle was running and the 3 amigos plus the brake light are on all the time and i still cannot check the codes. aby ideas?

Most generic code readers cannot read brake related codes.

Find someone with a 3 Amigo scanner or buy one for $200 and it will help you read, repair and clear the codes.

Or go to the dealer. They're basically your only two options.

it is not a scanner issue i do not believe, it has the SLABS diagnostic tool that worked before. i think the issue is that the code clears after you turn off the key.

I am considering investing in a good scanner for my discovery II. I have a ultragauge for my coolant temperature. I wonder what is a good or recommended scanner for discovery II

Depends on what you want to use it for. the price range is $50 to $20,000. Your ultragauge will read all the OBDII codes, what it will not do is read SRS, ABS, or allow you to personalize various settings or calibrate engine, transmission or suspension ECUs. The more expensive tools will also access the Body controls so you can activate various accessories and check functions of the systems (lots easier than replacing parts). All depends on you budget and what you want to use it for.
