Default Can't Shift out of Park

There's a few post referring to this problem and the resolution is the brake sensor switch. What I couldn't tell if that diagnosis applies to the Disco I or the II as well. What's more likely on aDisco II, brake sensor or interlock sensor on the shifter? 2001 Series II SE7. Thx. Tom.

i had this issue 2 weeks ago. the day after i bought the truck.

it is the brake sensor. it is under the dash near the brake pedal arm. its a 5 min fix. cost about $20 bucks

BTW, how did that 308 get second billing to the Disco?

the only 2 cars post 1990 i would think of owning,,,

the 355 and the 550/575.... droooooooooooool
