Unhappy Catalytic Convertor Replacement

Hello fellow Landy enthusiasts!

I recently purchased a '00 Disco II about 2 months ago, took it to a Land Rover dealership for them to read the codes on the service engine light. They told me that 3 of my O2 sensors need to be replaced and the catalytic convertor is bad. They said pieces of the catalytic are in the muffler and quoted me $4,300 to fix it. I walked away in complete shock. Can I fix this myself? Please help!

go to amazon to order the O2 sensors they have the best price, Like $60.ea.
they also sell a 02 removal tool for a few buck well worth the investment.

they make aftermarket cat.'s I think Daveco may be the name of one company that makes them.
Unless your going to do the welding you will need a muffler shop to install them.

A complete new system, y-pipe, converters, muffler, resonator & pipes cost less than $700.00,
need to find a local mechanic and muffler shop.

your truck is 16-years old the only time it should be seeing a dealer, is driving bye.
