Default cb antenna mount position

I've been looking at getting a cb for RovrFlo and would like to know where people have been mounting their antennas. I've heard the front bumper is the best location, but mine is still stock (and will be for a while). Would a 4' Firestick II installed on the spare tire mount yield an acceptable SWR?

Default RE: cb antenna mount position

Front bumper is actually the worst position because of all the engine interference.
Consider a mount to the back of the spare tire, use a quick disconnect and a 4" FireStick or equal and you'll love it.
I have my mounted to the center of the roof, I always get out better then most of the people on our runs, prune a few trees along the way with my 4F stainless steel antenna.
