It doesn't take photos to tell you the better locations to mount an antenna. If you use the CB a lot while off road and want the best signal strength the a Wilson 1000 on the top of your roof is by far the best due to the metal ground plain, otherwise a Fire Stick of 3 to 4 feet, mounted on the spare tire carrier is pretty descent.
Sorry, I misread your question, I thought you wanted the antenna location. I mounted my CB on the rear of the console facing up, many also mount theirs up by the sun roof switches id it is the smaller style case, some also mount the CB to the side of the console on the passenger side.
That being said, what are you using for an antenna and location?

One place to consider not mounting it would be under the seats, if wading is to be encountered and a little water ingress is forecast. The ability to call for help when truck is partially submerged is a plus. Please plan on an in-line fuse as close to the tie in point for power as practical, a shorted wire can burn up a truck.

I went for the dash, not crazy about it, but it works. Still haven't found a good antenna location since I sold my roof rack. I want to go with the spare tire for my Firestik, but I don't think my 20' antenna cable is long enough

Radio here
Route Mic to here, Love's sales a nice adhesive mic clip to prevent unneeded holes being drilled.
Run antenna wire underneath carpet to this point, route outside and immediately under bumper cover out of view
Buy one of these to mount your antenna with, any CB radio shop would have them, among other places ( A "firestick" style antenna or anything at all can be placed here in exactly the same manner.)
Mount antenna here (Oddly enough one of the few pictures where you can see my antenna.)

Street and Mike, can you still flip the rear seats forward without smushing the radio? I feel like I've got my seats flipped forward more often then not, and it seems the radio is in a vulnerable place right there.
Also, I've had issues getting my antenna grounded with my previous mounting bracket. Do you have to run an extra ground wife from the antenna base to get a good ground?
Thanks!
