Hi. I'm new and am still figuring out my new Land Rover. We bought a 2002 Discovery yesterday. Today my husband disconnected the battery while he was doing something, and now my CD player is asking for a code.

I don't have it, and I don't think the previous owner did either. Where do I get this code? Also how much will it cost if I have to take it to the dealer?

You will need to take proof of owner ship to your local Rover dealer's service department and ask them to request a radio code from Rover along with a recall check to see if any recalls are needing to be performed.

I just called the dealer and all they did was ask for my VIN number. They gave me the code over the phone. I have had my battery disconnected and replaced and have never had to put the code in. Guess I am just lucky or something.
