Does it go nuts when you have CDL engaged & shut it off then back on? That is what I had until I swapped the SLABS vs wire cutting. I’m happy as I got the newer SLABS for next to nothing.

 

 

Both of mine set the 3 amigos at startup & drove me nuts so I swapped the SLABS units for newer ones.

If you're going to upgrade your slabs unit from a newer vehicle, you also want to try to get one with or without SLS to match the same as the vehicle your going to put it into. Otherwise it will need to be changed in the vehicles computer with "test book" at a Rover dealership or some other ODB device that can change the SLS setting. Most of the ones on ebay, the seller has no idea if the salvage vehicle had SLS or not.

 

If you're nice to someone with a Hawkeye they might lend you theirs and you can switch off the SLS using that.
