CDL questions/manual locking.
I have a '99 D2, and found the nipple for the CDL this afternoon.
I'm definitly going to find a DI or late model to get the actual linkage off, but I'm going on a trip to SW Colorado soon and won't have time before that.
So, for manual use, I want to make sure I've understand this correctly:
1. to lock my CDL, have the motor running, in neutral, and turn clockwise with a 10 mm open wrench about 20 degrees.
2. to unlock the CDL, have the engine running, in neutral, and turn counter-clockwise about 20 degrees.
3. I will lose all traction control if I turn the motor off with CDL engaged, and turn the motor back on again, so I must disengage before turing offthe motor.
4. What do I do if I forget and turn the motor off before unlocking it and lose traction control.
