CDL shifter
As some of you know I have some major t-case issues. I was wondering how far does the CDL shifter is supposed to go back when engaged in the high gear? I know it might sound like a dumb question... Because I have seen pictures on internet where the shifter is way further back than in my truck. My shifter is stuck, and I'm currently trying to make it work.
I know it can be only a matter of adjustement. But I think this fact can be responsible for my t-case trouble. Or maybe I'm simply paranoid a bit [:-]
Thanks for any input on this!

This is in my D2, but the shifter position should be the same. It is in Hi Unlocked.
when mine is in high in my d1 its kinda straight up... not back... then in low it goes more forward... i will try to get a pic for you later... i just recently just my linkage "unseized"... it took some work and a lot of bolt loosener type spray stuff but its good now...

Interesting. I have the '04 linkage installed and when I'm Lo Locked the shifter is in about the center position. I didn't realize there was such a difference between the two.
Thanks for the replies. As I was trying to unseize it... I broke the linkage for hi-lo positions
... now I don't know where it was when it broke. I will have ti get it welded back together...
But at least I'm glad to know that the gears were properly engaged on mine.

thats the information i used as welll... the only thing i did differently is instead of rivets holding the rubber boot deal on, i put those little plastic screw wedge deals(like the things you put in drywall i think, i wish i knew what they were called) inside the holes where the old rivets were and then used screws to hold it in place... works good and now if i ever need to get it off, it just unscrews...

I think I'll do the same. Maybe not use drywall screws but metal screws. Since I will have to get everything off once again when I will change my t-case.
