Default Center Air Intake Molding

Has anyone trimmed there molding that fits at bottom of the windshield to make it fit better? Since I replaced mine it bothers me that the middle is about 1/2 inch away from the glass.

There is a thread on here someplace that added a rubber moulding to the top of the cowl against the windshield. I think the thread was about adding a rubber lip to the hvac air intake to keep water out of the cabin. Guessing your cowl is aftermarket?

I just got a new one a couple weeks ago and it fit like a glove. It was OEM from LR though, so maybe fit is a little different for aftermarket? Is it an aftermarket? It replaced an aftermarket one the PO had installed and that one didn't fit too well like you're describing.

Those are definitely OEM prices, but it would’ve come in an LR labeled plastic bag. Did it?

I also recollect there is a great thread somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. However, I saved this Trim Lok part number which is what the OP of that thread used. This Trim Lok piece apparently slips well into the windshield cowl. The bigger rubber lip provides better protection against water penetration.

That’s where I got mine. Not to pleased with how wavy it was and how the seal did not fit flush against the windshields in some spots. Resorted to this - https://landroverforums.com/forum/discovery-ii-18/water-pouring-into-passenger-footwell-102055/
