Center Seat Belt Stuck
I had this question combined with another post but didnt get much from it so here its is in a post by itself. My center rear seatbelt is jammed and I cant get it to budge. I would look under the the seat but I cent figure out how to get it to fold all the way down, and can only get it to lay half way. I think I need to get to the bottom but im not sure. Any suggestions??
I havent folded my rear seat in forever, but I belive that you first lift up on the rear cushin and then the seat back folds down flat and the seat cushin folds up againts the back of the front seat.
I have been thinking about your stuck seat belt since your first post and I have no idea.
Once you can get to it take a flashlight and look into it to see if there is something stuck, like a quarter or somesuch.
And by stuck I think you mean that it will not unwind so that you can use it.

Once you fold the back of the seat down the whole seat simply fold forward. Once it's folded in half just lift up on the rear of the seat and it should fold up right behind the front seat. As for the seat belt problem, I have no idea what to tell you. Sounds like the mechanism that locks it in an emergency somehow got locked and won't release.
I had the same problem a year or two ago. From what i can remember the whole mechanism needed to be replaced. I was told it was a dealer part. Seeing how i dont use the middle seat belt too often i just cut the strap off and then worked it free. i still never replaced the mechanism, but i did get the seat back up. but i still need to replace the locking mechanism. hopefully someone else has a better fix.
OK, centre rear seatbelt sticking, the way to solve this at least for the time being is as follows.
if the seat if folded down, then you should remove the seat backing by gently pulling the backing off, you may need to use a flat blade screw-driver to gently lift the back at points around the edge.
Once the backing is off then you'll see that the mechanism is bolted in place by a single bolt (17mm IIRC) you can undo this easily enough with a decent socket set.
The Bolt is captive in the unit so once released you can then lift the mechanism out. You now tilt the unit back to align with the way the seat back should be when it is upright, this should allow the mechanism to release the locking bit, try to very gently pull the belt out from the mechanism to give you some slack and allow you to lift the seat back into the correct position.
If the seat is upright and you want to fold it down follow the same reasoning above with the seat upright, it is a little more difficult to keep the seat belt mechanism in place.
Oh and when you've finished, releasing the seat belt then take some slack and wrap it around the centre armrest before bolting the unit back inplace and replacing the backing. Take care with the backing so that you don't break any of the holders that keep it in place on the back of the seat.
I hope that helps, I will try to describe the way to fix the mechanism in a later post but I have to think how to describe it as it is a slightly complex thing to do, I only found out by trial and error.
