Default change in oil brand

Hi All

Will a change from one brand of oil to another cause a drop in power of the vehicle. i have a 1997 discovery 300tdi. I used BP C6 classic initially and then went to Caltex Delo 500. I felt a slight drop in power. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Delo is a good oil. You may experience a little blow by when you first change over, but it will smooth out and be better than ever in about 500 miles. Loos of power shouldn't be from the oil.
