good oil to use. I use Royal Purple, but many use Mobile 1 or Castrol Synthetic. The important thing is to not extend your drains. The engines run too rich. Don't go past 5000 miles.

I run the 5W/30 Syntec in the winter, 5W/40 in the summer and yes your truck will like the Mobil 1 also, remember use a good filter like a K&N 3001 or a Mobil 1 so you don't have any dry starts.

i use 5w-40 all year. either rotella synthetic from walmart or amsoil online. engine cranks when temps are below zero and still runs smooth and quiet in the summer.

I have been using castrol 5w30. I have the service done just before5000 miles.
I have been suppling my garage the filters (K&N). I have been ordering them online. Not all the filters can be obtained from the local auto parts stores.
My truck is in New Jersey which only gets real cold weather in late January thru end of February.
