changed the idler pulleys...still squeaking

Default changed the idler pulleys...still squeaking

new power steering pump, new water pump...not sure where the squeak is coming from. any ideas?

Have you tried replacing the serpentine belt? There's also the possibility of the AC condenser, but in my experience that makes more of a clicking sound most of the time.

hey alex, the belt is brand new...the AC unit and the alternator are old...I will listen to both of them tonight, thanks for the idea.

Did you do tensioner as well?

I did all three and it was the tensioner at fault. Seemed like a lower quality item

I assumed you were including the tensioner when you said idler pulleys, but capped is absolutely right. Seems to be the cause of a lot of peoples squeaks.

tensioner was done with the other two...three new pulleys, i dont get it!

Well then it's almost definitely either the Alt or the Condenser. I know I only mentioned the condenser, but I... well, I totally forgot about the Alt for a second. I'd actually guess Alt over condenser.

its a 99 and the alternator is original...so i should probably change it. alex, do you sell them?

I had one off a parts truck, but I've already sold it. If you're going to be running lots of electronics/big stereo/winch/lights/etc then you could upgrade to a P38 alternator also. I believe they put out an extra 20-30 amps.

nothing like that...i barely listen to the stock radio...so all i need is a replacement...think i can find a used on on ebay?
