Is changing coolant every year too often?

Default Is changing coolant every year too often?

Reading all the head gasket stuff makes be nervous. Is changing the coolant every year over kill?

i say if you have the time, money and know how to do whatever you like and not to worry what others think.

I heard a great analogy the other day:

"I've never, in my entire life, heard of someone having a failure from changing their [insert automotive fluid here] too often." In this case, the automotive fluid we were talking about was oil, but I'm sure it would work with just about any fluid that you can dump in a car.

So have at it!

Change your vehicle every 3,000 miles if you can afford it!

The nice thing about changing it that often all you need to do is a drain and fill.
Remove the lower radiator hose, come back a hour later, put it back and refill and bleed the system.
