Default Changing lower intake gasket

So I need to change the lower intake gasket to repair the coolant leak. Mike, I looked under the hood and it does not have the extra A/C thing you were woried about. Looking for recomondations as to where to purchase the parts online and also if their are any particular things to look out for, as I will be doing the job myself(saving the 2400.00 the dealer wants). I'll also be changing to wires to the ones reccommended here in the forums while it's apart.

Thanks,
Brian

Go to Atlantic British and order there complete valley pan gasket set as well as the intake manifold gasket. You then might want to order a set of Magnacor wires, since with the manifold off you can change the wires easily. When you get everything shout.

I would rather see you buy there valley pan gasket kit that includes all seals from the valley pan and up including new v/c gaskets.
I would also suggest asking them for the actual intake manifold gasket that goes between the top and bottom manifold.
Also order the 8 mm Magnecor wires not the 7's, if they don't have them then call Tony at 650-365-4145 and get them from him.

Purchased the gasket kit from British and the 8mm wires and plugs from Tony, British does not carry them. Should arrive by Monday.

Just in case you don't have this already make sure you have all the torque specs you need for the lower and upper intake bolts. When I had to do the same job, My friendly dealer wasn't so friendly on giving me the specs and held me up for a day because "they were busy"

Plugs and wires are here now too. Is their any need to check the gap on the Bosch Platinum +4 plugs?

NO, you don't have to gap the Plus 4's.
Let us know how it goes.
