Default changing plug wires

If I have to already pull off the driver's side exhaust manifold for replacement, would that afford me enough space to go through that way to replace plugs or will that not effect much going through that side? Also, is there a very driving reason for using the magnacore $100 wires or can one use the more standard set?

2000 Disco 152,000 miles. Yes, just getting started on the 60,000 service list because I don't know its history.

If I can't make it through with the exhaust manifold off, looking at using deebluepwater's steps for replacement.

Why are you taking the headers off, that is not needed.
If you want some quick guidance, send me your number and I'll call and walk you thru this.
Once you change out the wires once, you will not want to do them again so yes, good wires are a must.

I'll second what Mike said...you're only gonna want to do the wires once. Even if your headers are already off it won't give you any extra room. It's possible to change the wires without taking many things off, but its a PITA. I had no experience at all and was able to take my upper manifold off and have plenty of room.
