It's like cheap Rhino Liner, still does the job, but only costs like $30 a can. I did the whole trunk with half a can, and I plan on doing all the floors once my Disco is a trails only rig.
Well, you have asked a question and I am still curious to hear youyr answer to my question, which should have been answered before we all tossed up ideas. What are you going to use the damm truck for, a grocery getter???????????????????????

Piece of cake. Carpet came out in 10 mins without removing any trim and the rhino line took maybe an hour including taping. Do it when the weather is good because you have to leave all the windows open for a day or two.

Sorry Mike, must have missed it the first time. Pretty much anything. The point of the thread is that you can say any mod you want weather it's for a hard core trail rig mod or just a soccer mom Disco.

Been there, done that. Forgot about my magnetic mount antenna when I tried to back into my garage. Hit so hard right at the base of the antenna that I actually broke the cable and put a big scratch in the roof of my truck. I was just glad it was a mag mount and not the permanent mount I replaced it with.

I'm running a 102" stainless steel whip with a 6" HD spring off my back bumper now. Awesome range and it will flex in every direction imaginable.

Mike, I think its just a generic "share your ideas" topic, not intended for just one person's use. Just a chance for everyone to throw out some unique ideas that arent too expensive.

how did you make that saudi grill? cut out the horizontal runs in the stock grill and replace with wire mesh grill or did you put the mesh over the existing plastic grill?

I've done plenty of mods for under $200 to my 2003 Disco but there is a fine line with modifications or just adding of fixing things. Here are some of mine:

LR rubber mats from Ebay over the LR carpets just for protection
Home made vinyl rear cargo mat from materials at Home Depot.
Rear 12" subwoofer-home made box and put where left side cargo box was.
Upgraded headlight bulbs, new fog lights and driving lights.
Extra reverse lamp mounted to roof rack
LR stock dash switches to control all of my lights.
CB radio and attennae
Sirius radio
dash mounted and wired Tom Tom GPS
iPhone mount and hard wiring
sheep skin front seat covers from Cosco to cover my cracked vinyl seats
Various LR decals and stickers.
Large mag light mounted under driver's seat.
voltage inverter 12 V DC to 120 V AC
Bright LED cabin lights for driver and passenger areas

I personally didn't make it but I have a jerry can holder that looks like welded angle iron that cost me considerably less than $200 and I'm sure cost less than that to make. It also has cb antenna mounts to the side/ behind the can.
