I've only loaded it up twice and I used two thin boards as a cross board. I was carrying two big boxes so the flooring wasnt a problem. I'll be ordering chicken coop flooring eventually, ive heard that stuff works great as flooring.

And yes, it clears the sunroofs too.

The rack itself cant be extended, i wish it could because that would be awesome! However, they do offer a full length one, it was $400 and I didnt like the looks of it. Half length does its job for me.

Dont forget, with the Surco rack like this one, or like mine, you have to buy the gutter adapters. Thats where they really get you!

I see lot of options and a large price range on roof racks. The Safety Device racks seem like top of the line and I have seen other setups with 3 people walking on the flooring added to some racks. My main question is how much will the gutters on the Disco handle? More support points to the gutter the more the basket or whatever setup you have will hold, but how much can the gutters of the roof handle? I mean rain water is not that heavy and I am not sure how strong the door post are. Rollover protection may give them a little more strength as part of the roof structure, but any idea of the limits here?

I have Yakima racks for my bikes, have had them on several vehicles. I like the flexibility of the system. They make baskets too, you can do ANYTHING with them.

You will still need cross bars and gutter feet--just like for the Surco--they are adaptable to other accessories and install--uninstall in about 4 minutes when you figure them out.
